We are driven by the challenge of providing heat to the people and at the same time protecting the environment.  We at Danpower stand for the energy of tomorrow and are one of the leading energy contractors in Germany.  Our combined Group of companies, Danpower GmbH, includes a total of 28 other companies.  Danpower GmbH, with its headquarter in Potsdam, operates in Germany as well as in the Baltic States.

We develop and realize energy supply solutions for the highly efficient and environmentally friendly generation of heat, power and cooling.  To supplement energy supplied from combined heat and power generating plants powered by conventional fossil fuels, our primary focus is on the use of renewable energy sources like biogas/biomethane and biomass.  We also build and operate systems for energy recovery from residual waste materials.

We are your reliable partner in energy services contracting. We not only supply your property or production facility with the required energy but can offer you a full-service program.  We build new power generation plants and heating grids in the process or take over existing ones and update them as needed.  We support your management efforts in servicing your plants (maintenance, inspections, repair service, optimization) on to comprehensive technical agency services, including standby services and fault clearance. If we supply your rental properties we gladly take care of the billing for the energy delivered.  We are also able to take on the responsibility of managing all administrative and business functions of the energy supply plants, with utmost reliability and always close to you.

Our group of companies operates a variety of plant types.  Our expertise rests in the power generation and supply industry and we purchase and operate biomass heating and cogenerating plants, conventional heating and cogenerating plants, thermal residual waste treatment plants and Biogas plants.  Our portfolio is rounded out with combined heating and power units, steam, hot water, warm water generation plants and refrigeration systems as well as district heating grids and transfer stations.

Danpower figures

Our plant holdings currently consist more than 800 systems.  Approximately 98 % of the electricity and 52 % of the heat are produced in plants that are based on renewable energy sources.  The group of companies generated a total turnover of 214 million Euro in 2021 and employs a staff of more than 470 in Germany and in the Baltic States.
